Michael Cotter, DDS
Dr. Michael Cotter proudly serves as a Major in the US Army Reserves, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a member of the American Dental Association and a founding member of the International Academy of Endodontics. In March of 2023, Dr. Cotter will be appointed as the President of the International Academy of Endodontics.
Dr. Cotter attended St. John’s University where he played college football and double majored in communications and biology. He then attended NYU College of Dentistry where he served as class president for four years.
Following his graduation from NYU in 2000, Dr. Cotter completed a one-year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He then returned to NYU for a two-year post-graduate program in Endodontics where he served as chief resident in his second year.
After practicing and teaching at Montefiore Medical Center as an Endodontist in the New York area, he founded Endodontics of Westchester Shore in 2003 and Greenwich Endodontics in 2014. Dr. Cotter and his family relocated to Mount Pleasant in 2021 and he looks forward to continuing to grow his new practice, Mount Pleasant Endodontics and serving patients in the low-country.
